The Department of Psychological Sciences has faculty and staff offices, research space, classrooms, graduate student offices, and clinic space on the third and fourth floors of the Cleveland Center for Hearing and Speech, an institution with a longstanding partnership with communication sciences, and also in the Mather Memorial Building which has been the home of the psychology program.

Also housed in CHSC is our Psychology Clinic.

 

 

 

The Department of Psychological Sciences is conveniently located minutes away from the University’s main library, the Kelvin Smith Library.

The Kelvin Smith library and the Allen Memorial Medical Library hold the majority of journals and books that students access. In addition, the library has an extensive online collection of psychology, psychiatry, and medical journals. The department is centrally located near numerous hospitals and clinics, all of which provide unique opportunities for research and practica.

Louis Stokes VA Medical Center

The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, University Hospitals and Rainbow Babies, and Cleveland Clinic are all located within blocks of the Case Western campus. The Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center is conveniently located on the Case Western campus and provides services to hundreds of area children, adolescents, and adults. The Metro Health System is also located in the Cleveland area and provides opportunities for research collaboration and clinical practica.

Cleveland also boasts many public, private, and charter schools in which students conduct research and clinical assessments. For students who are interested in conducting gerontological research, Case collaborates with many local facilities and organizations. Meyers Research Center at Menorah Park Center for Aging is an applied research facility where advanced students can use their clinical skills to develop new assessment methods and intervention programs for cognitively impaired older adults.
