On Friday, April 10th, students from various Social Science departments participated in the first ever Social Science Research Day. This day was organized by Anthropology PhD students Jenna Hays, Anuoluwapo Ajibade, Sarah Namirembe, and Aria Wanek, and supported by professor and Anthropology department chair Janet McGrath, PhD.
Clinical Psychology PhD student Kathryn Altman was part of the graduate student oral presentations earlier in the day on her research “Understanding the Social Cognitive Profile of Preschoolers with Developmental Differences”.
Undergraduate Psychology students presented their posters on various research topics regarding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder under the guidance of Professor Wilson J. Brown.
Vivian Cho and Sahasra Gala presented their analysis of “Investigation of the PTSD Symptom Network among Youth in Psychiatric Residential Treatment”
Anvi Kesarwani and Nevaeh Coffee presented “Traumatic Stress Exposure in Parents and Parenting Expectations”.
Arnav Reddy presented the analysis of “Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Utilization for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Among
Veterans with Comorbid Serious Mental Illness”.
