For the certificate program and the Developmental MA Program, the following funding opportunities are provided on a competitive basis:

Federal Scholarship Option (through 2025):

  • Partial tuition waiver
  • Summer stipend
  • Service obligation after completion of the program (employed position involving directly working with young children with disabilities, read more information below).

University Supported Assistantship

  • Partial tuition support

Service Obligation

Students who are funded federally through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs grant are required to complete a year service obligation for every half a year of scholarship support provided. This obligation requires you to hold a position where you are offering services to families of young children (infants and toddlers). It is the student’s responsibility to apply for these positions.
