Research Interests– I am interested in the development of diagnostic and screening tools for autism, particularly in studying their efficacy in groups where autism is underdiagnosed. I also research the experiences of caregivers of autistic individuals, with a focus on mental health, stigma toward seeking mental health care, and coping in this population.
I completed my undergraduate degree in cognitive neuroscience with a minor philosophy at George Washington University in Washington D.C. While at GW, I spent almost five years at the Developmental Social Neuroscience Lab, using neuroimaging techniques to study social and non-social learning in autistic youth. I am currently a first-year graduate student in the Language, Autism, Motor and Behavior Lab, where I research the experiences of autistic individuals and their caregivers. Outside of my work at CWRU, I enjoy cross-stitching, going to the Cinematheque, and watching the wildlife on campus.
