Developmental Psychology MA with an Early Intervention Specialization
This 15-month graduate program at Case Western Reserve University allows students to complete their Master of Arts Degree, while simultaneously earning an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist Certificate through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and anticipated through Case Western Reserve University (pending approval: December 2021). The program offers courses and practical training in the field of developmental psychology. In addition, our training model is state-of-the-art and interprofessional in nature, with training occurring side-by-side with young pre-professionals in a variety of disciplines (i.e. nursing, medicine, social work, speech language pathology).
PhD program in Clinical Psychology accredited by the APA
The Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology is awarded for demonstration of advanced knowledge of the symptoms and empirically supported treatments for clinical psychology disorders. The Ph.D. is typically earned after 5-6 years of full-time enrollment. Students may choose to study in the Child and Family or Adult Tracks. Students are admitted into the Ph.D. program on a full-time basis only. The Doctor of Philosophy degree in Developmental, Cognitive, and Affective Sciences (DCAS) prepares the student for an academic career in research and teaching. The Ph.D. is typically earned after 5 years of full-time enrollment. Students may choose among concentrations in developmental psychology, affective neuroscience, cognitive psychology, behavioral genetics, or developmental disorders. Students are admitted into the Ph.D. program on a full-time basis only. Students will earn a Master of Arts for completing a thesis and eventually earn a Ph.D. after completing a doctoral dissertation.
Programs in Communication Sciences
MA program in Speech-Language Pathology CAA accredited through 2024
The Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences (COSI) prepares students to become highly competent clinician researchers in the field of speech language pathology. The MA is typically earned after 5 semesters of full-time enrollment. Students are admitted into the MA program on a full-time basis only. Students can select from a traditional thesis option or a comprehensive meta-analysis program to demonstrate competency for graduation.
PhD program in Communication Sciences
The Doctor of Philosophy degree in Communication Sciences prepares graduates for successful careers in the field working in universities, research hospitals, or clinics. The Ph.D is typically earned after 4 years of full-time enrollment for students who enter with a professional degree (M.A., M.S. in speech-language pathology or Au.D. in Audiology). Students may choose among concentrations in auditory perception, neurogenic communication disorders, neurophysiology of swallowing and communication, or child language disorders. Students will earn a Ph.D. after completing a doctoral dissertation.
