Contribute to efforts to honor Mandel School Dean Grover “Cleve” Gilmore ahead of his retirement

After 20 years of leadership as dean of the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and 46 years as a member of the faculty at Case Western Reserve University, Grover “Cleve” Gilmore is retiring June 30. Dean Gilmore has been integral to numerous university successes—his visionary leadership has propelled the Mandel School into a future of educational excellence, innovation, enhanced financial security and distinguished service.

Members of the community are invited to honor his legacy and celebrate the many accomplishments and friendships made over the years by participating in recognition initiatives.

“Celebrating Dean Grover ‘Cleve Gilmore: A Legacy of Leadership,” a special retirement celebration will be held Thursday, May 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Members of the community can contribute a personal message of well-wishes to Dean Gilmore in a special tribute book. Submissions for the tribute book are due March 2. Send all submissions to deangilmoretribute@case.edu.

Additionally, individuals can contribute to the Dean Grover “Cleve” Gilmore Scholarship Campaign, a unique opportunity to honor Dean Gilmore’s transformational leadership and his vision of increasing scholarship support.
